a personal site what I'm building, what I'm into

Matt Cross

I care about the big problems in the world and the systems shaping it. I want to build a sustainable future that's good for people, and design things that give them hope.

Now

Right now I'm building BountifulCSAs, software that lets small, independent organic and regenerative farms run their own CSA programs.

02 ongoing work

Things I'm building,
and chasing.

Each one is a short story: what it is, why it matters, where it stands today. In between, a few things I do off the clock, because they keep teaching me how to work.

01Building

BountifulCSAs

A platform that lets small independent farms run their own CSA (box subscription) programs.

What it does

  • Buyer signup and recurring payments
  • Per-crop demand forecasting and supply planning
  • Buyer communication, in one place
  • Moving existing buyers off manual email and text workflows

between projects soccer

The goal is the last thing that happens.

The part people see is a second long. The part that decides it is the run-up: where you plant, how you set your body, how calm you are when the ball arrives. I like work that gets the setup right so the final step feels easy.

between projects basketball

Same form, thousands of times.

A good shot is a habit, not a moment. Get the form right, repeat it until it holds up under pressure, then adjust one small thing at a time. Shipping software works the same way.

between projects guitar

Playing is mostly listening.

You hold a groove by paying attention to everything around your own part. It is a good reminder for building things with other people: the work is better when you listen to the room first.

A little about me.

I'm Matt. [ where you're based, what you do day to day, how you got here - fill in ]

I like problems that are bigger than one person and systems that quietly decide how a lot of lives go. I would like to spend my time building things that make those systems kinder, and that give people a reason to feel hopeful. [ add the story behind that - fill in ]
